Conferences

Clck here to see examples of contributions from the 2012 conference. Delegates were asked to produce a piece of writing to Re-Tell a story to do with God, a Biblical story or of Jesus. One example is from a speaker who presented it during the conference and the other is a response from myself. I will be presenting others in the coming weeks.

Speakers for the 2012 Conference

Canon Rev Trevor Dennis retired in June last year from being Vice Dean of Chester Cathedral.  Before that he taught Old Testament Studies at Salisbury and Wells Theological College, but it was even before then, as a school chaplain, that he began preaching through storytelling.  Over the years SPCK have published five collections of his pieces, as well as six books exploring biblical narratives.  He has also published a children's Bible through Lion/Hudson.

Rev Dr Neil Richardson is a Past President of Conference (2003/4) of the Methodist Chiurch of Great Britain.  He was a member of the formal conversations group that drafted the covenant between the Anglican and Methodist Churches and was also New Testament Tutor and Principal at Wesley College, Bristol, between 1995-2001. He is a former Chair of the European Theological Commission.
